Vídeos de las charlas del 29C3 con mini-microhistoria incluida

Ya están disponibles los vídeos de las charlas de la que para mi, es la mejor conferencia sobre seguridad/hacking del mundo. El Chaos Communication Congress ha celebrado este pasado fin de semana su conferencia número 29. Ésta se celebró por primera vez fuera de Berlín, en Hamburgo.

Este año la conferencia llevaba por título: Not my department. El motivo del mismo es hacer una crítica y un llamamiento a la responsabilidad. El origen de Not my department, realmente viene de la letra de una canción (Wernher Von Braun) escrita por Tom Lehrer. La canción dice:

Once the rockets are up, who cares where they come down That's not my department
Esta canción fue escrita como crítica al científico Von Braun, padre del programa espacial de los EEUU.

A Von Braun desde pequeño le fascinaban los cohetes y el tema espacial. Durante la segunda guerra mundial, Braun trabajó para el ejército alemán. Desarrolló los cohetes V2 y A4. Después de que Londres fuera atacado por cohete V2 por primera vez, Braun dijo algo como: El cohete funcionó a la perfección, pero aterrizó en el planeta equivocado.

Braun se defendía a sí mismo diciendo que desarrollaba la tecnología de estos cohetes, el cómo se usaban no era decisión suya (Not my department).

Después de la guerra Braun fue contratado por los EEUU para su programa espacial y desarrolló la tecnología detrás de los cohetes espaciales que llevó el hombre a la luna.
