World of KrustCraft (en clara alusión a World of Warcraft) es sólo una de las referencias humorísticas que han aparecido en un capítulo de los Simpsons donde visitan una Electronic Entertaiment Expo  (E3) emitido el día 13 de Noviembre en los EEUU.

Aparecen también los Angry Birds pero llamándolos "Furios Fliers", la Xbox es la Ybox, Nintendo es "Funtendo", "Medal of Duty", Grand Theft Scratchy, Guts of War II, etc.

“Another Lake” y “And Another Lake” son dos lagos de Canada… que tienen agua… y poco más sabemos de ellos. En defensa de google diré que la zona está llena de lagos y tal vez por ello sea el error. Puedes mirarlo tu mismo aquí.

Por lo visto, desde 1991, los lagos realmente se llaman así. Se supone que  debido al gran número de ellos que hay en la zona el funcionario encargado de ponerles nombres se cansó :-) Caben pocas explicaciones más.

Alguno se preguntará que por qué si mi último artículo sobre el Lago Vostok (25-11-11) se llamaba: “A pocos metros sobre el Lago Vostok” por qué no han llegado ya al lago. La explicación es sencilla: el invierno antártico se les echó encima a los científicos antes de que terminaran de taladrar. “No nos ha dado tiempo a llegar al lago antes de que la temperatura del hielo antártico comience a descender”, señaló Lukín, subdirector del Instituto de Investigaciones Árticas y Antárticas (IIAA). Como se ve en la imagen, la parte inferior del lago se congela y se hace muy difícil avanzar. “Debido a la alta presión y al descenso de las temperaturas se formaron cristales de hielo que obstruían el avance de la perforadora, lo que nos obligó a suspender la expedición hasta final de año” A mediados de diciembre, si las temperaturas son las idóneas, se retomará la perforación.

Si por casualidad estás trabajando en algún proyecto de creación un de un sistema Linux embebido y no estás muy avanzado sigue leyendo, porque como decía un compañero de trabajo: nene, esto te interesa a ti más que a mi :)
